Tune It Up!

March 16th, 2015

Before we get to what’s included in our tune-up’s, let’s talk about our service department.

Our service department is the heart and soul of our bike shop. The service area at our shop has always been front and center, open for anyone to see.

Our mechanics have been around a long time and know every trick in the book to make your bike perform at its best. Come by and meet them for yourself.

We offer a few different levels of tune-up’s, here they are.

Basic Tune: $40

  • Adjust front and rear derailleurs
  • Adjust front and rear brake
  • Inflate tires to proper pressure
  • Lubricate chain
  • Safety inspection
  • Light wipe down

This is a service that is usually meant for a newer bike or a bike that was ridden a few times and put in storage. Most bikes we see need a little more than this and this is where the full tune comes into play.

Full Tune Up: $69

  • Adjust front and rear derailleurs
  • Align derailleur hanger (if necessary)
  • Adjust front and rear brakes
  • Lubricate all cables
  • True front and rear wheels (does not include broken spokes)
  • Adjust front and rear hub bearings
  • Adjust headset and bottom bracket (if applicable)
  • Inflate tires to proper pressure
  • Lubricate chain
  • Safety inspection
  • Thorough wipe down of frame and wheels

Overhaul: $199

We strip the bike down to the frame and perform all the services above. We also de-grease your drive-train, overhaul your headset and bottom bracket (if applicable), provide new housing and cables and we polish your frame. This does not include additional parts, and you’ll probably need a few little things like brake pads or a cartridge bearing, bar tape or grips. We can talk you through it!

Please note:

  • Hydraulic brake bleeds are not included in the price of a tune up, a bleed is $20 per brake w/tune-up.
  • Tubeless tire refills are an additional $15 per tire, includes Stan’s fluid.
  • Muddy bikes will be charged an extra $5 to $10 for a hose down, only fair, right?
